Is a hearing aid covered on the contents insurance?

Half a million Dutch people use a hearing aid to hear better. A hearing aid is a technological aid that can be quite expensive. After all, you have to have the model that suits you and preferably at the right price. Health insurance often covers (part of) the cost of purchasing a hearing aid.

In the first place, a household contents insurance covers everything that is loose in the house. The rule of thumb here is that whatever you want to insure must be easily movable. These are all items that you can take with you when you move house, for example, furniture and jewellery. Think of your furniture and jewellery. You can choose the amount for which you want to insure your household effects. The minimum amount for which you can insure your household effects is often 100,000 euros. On top of that, you can choose modules that go up by 25,000 or 50,000 euros, depending on your insurer.

For damage to things attached to your house, you can take out buildings insurance.
